About me
I am originally from the small village of Saranac Lake, New York, in the northeastern United States. I have fifteen years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, and since moving to The Netherlands eight years ago, I have specialised in teaching Business English to professionals working for Dutch companies in a wide range of industries.
My teaching career started unofficially at the age of 9, when I participated in a program where stronger readers from the fourth grade read books together with weaker readers from the first grade for an hour a week . I continued working as a tutor during university, and I got my first 'real' teaching job soon after graduating, when I moved to Istanbul in 2009 to teach English as a Second Language. There I met my wife, a fellow language teacher from The Netherlands, and after a few more years of teaching together overseas, we moved to this country to settle down.
